I don't know why this is so hard on me, I mean approaching strangers! Even though I did get to talk to 3 people, even received their phone numbers I just am not sure if this will take me to the success I am hoping for.
I first ran to the german store to get some champaign for tomorrow. Before I left I took some "home made" invitation cards with me lol My son - as nosy as he is - asked me about the cards and I explained him that I will talk to 5 people today and them the card. He was more excited about than I was! He asked me if he could hand out the cards and asked me what to say. Well, I said, I am raising funds for your College so aks the person politely if you can hand him out an invitation card and if he asks why then tell him that your mom is raising funds for your college. If he has more questions, just call me and I talk to him.
My son was so excited about it, it even gave me the courage to walk up to anybody today. At the parking lot of the german store I approached a father who was shopping with his two daughters. He did not give me his information but he took my card at least.
But when I walked into the commissary my courage left me. I think today was the wrong day to talk to anyone. Everybody was running around like chickens with the head cut off lol Being in such a hurry the entire store seemed to be in a bad mood buying stuff in a hurry for Thanksgiving. So, I have to confess that I did not talk to anyone there at all. I also told my son that he would be able to do this next time...what a shame :(
After the store I ran home to attend the 8 am conference call and fix dinner afterwards. My husband asked me what was wrong with me today and I told him that I wasn't sure if I could do all this. I was unhappy, really unhappy :(
To chear up I went to the bowling alley to play some slots. Yes, sometimes I just need to play my 1 cent machine lol and believe it or not, right there I gave another person an invitation card Wohoooo lol
Ok, I spent the rest of the night figuring out how to get my first video on YouTube. It took hours because it just did not want to upload my file. After downloading several useless Video File Converters I finally downloaded one that worked. So, below - finally - is the YouTube link to my Video of the day I received the acceptance email. The quality is not so good due to file conversion but at least I finally have one up lol gosh that took forever!!!

ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the YouTube. Your son is adorable! Allow his excitement to carry you through your fears. He has no fears so let him open doors for you. After all, it is HIS college fund you're building. Keep that WHY first and foremost in your mind and you will succeed. Partner up with your son - REALLY. Share this adventure together and your own confidence will grow as you realize so many people need what you are offering. You'll be amazed when it sinks in you are really offering them a GIFT!

Have faith Gueler, it will get better honestly. When I was in a mlm company I got to the point I could get to anyone. But I have gotten out of practise and it is really hard. I share your fear of just walking up to someone. Let's hang in there together Black Friday is going to be a GOLDEN day for us.
